Growing Wisdom with David Epstein Hi, I’m Dave Epstein and here we are at growing wisdom with another product for you. And this is an organic product that is to control some of those foliar diseases and things like powdery mildew. I’ve got some powdery mildew on my Beebum, now you really want to apply organic products prior to getting to this stage. Once you get to this stage it can be tough to control no matter what you're using. So this is an organic all natural disease control RTU, you might wonder what RTU stands for. It actually stands for ready-to-use, which makes it really easy because it means there’s no mixing. So you just spray it right out the bottle. You don’t have to have a backpack sprayer or hand sprayer or attached to the hose so for those of you that like simplicity this is a wonderful product. Also, the ingredients here are just great rosemary, cloves, clove oil, peppermint and malic acid all those ingredients occurring a 100% naturally. So you’re not using one of those synthetic fungicides, which tends to be a little bit harsher. This product meets the standards of the national organic programs, so if you’re gardening organically and you’re following that program, it’s okay to use this right up to the day of harvest. You can use it on tomatoes, flocks, Beebum but the key is to start spraying prior to having the problems and you’ve got to stay with it every seven to ten days or if it rains real hard apply it afterwards. If you miss a couple of weeks, it’s probably not going to work as well and that could be the frustrating part. Also, if you’ve got a major issue like I just showed you on some of the Beebum this probably will not get things under control. So were just trying to set some expectations. It’s a wonderful product that definitely going to help keep some of those things like powdery mildew, black spot, rust, leaf blight, leaf spot, brown rot, anthracnose, dollar spot under control provided that you use this from the beginning of the season until the end. This is one of those products that can be used across a variety of problems in the garden from your vegetables to things like grapes, to your ornamentals, even fruit trees.
