Mama’s Lip Gloss Optimizer Part three We have got if you look in the Layers Pallet, we have two groups of Lip Optimizer and you can see by the thumbnail of the mask, this is a little smaller area and if we click on this one, we can see that, it is a little larger area. Now we can play with setting it to 20% opacity, and just click play, like that. And if we do not like that, we can just go right back to 50 by clicking right here. And then the other thing that we can do is let us come up on this one, and we can apply our little pop or subdue effect. And I am going to do this on the top one and click play. So when this opens up again, you know you are going to be playing with some of the input settings if we do it like this. It is going to shrink it down a little bit. You can also use this gamma slider that is not in the instructions but that also, can be used to finesse the effect. And since this is the Top Layer where we want that highlight to be, we probably do not want to use this to subdue. In the output levels area, you will only be using the white output slider. If you use this one, it is going to show that selection again. So, never use the black output slider but the white one is a great tool to make this gloss very subtle so just back off on it, visually while you are watching it. And we will click Okay. All right, let us try another one that is on a smaller resolution image and smaller lips. So I am going to open up this image here, and there is a teeny tiny bit of highlight here. Now this image has not been retouched at all. But we are just going to work on this anyway. So, we are just going to go back to regular Mama’s Lip Gloss Optimizer, click Play, and we got to click stop now because that is the first thing we have to do after we get that message is to make the selection. And do not make the selection before you play the action because that will mess it up. Only make the selection when you are told to make the selection. And I am going to use my shortcuts, spacebar, and Ctrl key to zoom in on this and then move this over a bit because this is a smaller resolution image. Just zoom in right here. And now, I am going to continue with the action by clicking the play button. And that will take it out of that limbo state. Now we have got the next dialogue box. It is going to open and the Eyedropper Plus sign here, and select these teeny tiny little highlights in our lips here. And I am going to increase the fuzziness. Now in this image if you can see, her teeth are being selected too. Do not worry about that because we are not going to brush over the teeth so they are not going to be part of the mix. So again, that is the second step to increase that fuzziness, but not to this point. You still want some contrast of black on the inside of the lip or some place there. And I am going to click Okay. And then we will just click continue, and we are at that state again. So soft airbrush, normal mode, 100% opacity and flow, and I am just going to wipe across the lip here like this. And then switch to black, get a smaller brush, not too much smaller, and just wipe that milky stuff off. Then I am going to hit my x key to get white as the foreground color. And see if we have got any area up here where we can kind of play with. Hit x. So the lower resolution images, it works on them. It is just not quite as much fun as working on a higher res image. We still want to put that little tiny, just a little bit of white in that dip on the upper one there. Okay, let us get this like this. And let say, I am going to follow this one up with, let me collapse this so I can find my pop. Just click on pop, continue, and again, use these level sliders here to finesse this selection. And just bring it down a little bit like this and maybe back off on it a little bit like this. Okay then zoom out on the image. And might want to reduce the opacity to about 50%, so for convenience I put that in this action set just like that. And if you want to hand do another Lip Gloss Optimizer Set, do not run the action again. Because that would not mess you up. You either have to choose the single one or the two tier one initially. But, you can change your mind and do two tier after here but you have to manually duplicate this set and you can do that by highlighting the set and going to the Layers Pallet, Fly Out Menu tab, and just choose the duplicate group or duplicate set if your inversion is prior to CS2, and that will just give you a new set on top. And with this new set on top, what you want to do is increase that to 100% like this. And then you want to use either the decrease reveal defect area action, or you can use the pop or subdue effect action. And I am going to do that one again. That one is kind of my favorite. And let me zoom in on the lips before we go there. When you run the pop reduce any of these effects, make sure that there is a little outline around the mask on the group. Because sometimes, if you just click on the set, see how that outline disappeared, it may not work. So highlight the mask of it. And we are going to hit this and say continue. And that, we want to shrink down that upper one; we want it to pop, and move these out too. There we go. So if you just play with this, click okay. So, we got this nice bright highlight on the very top and we got this more subtle on the bottom. So that is basically how you can use the Lip Gloss Optimizer, and use the other actions included in the set to finesse these effects. So let us look at before and after, before and after, and down here. Before and after, down here, before and after. Hope you enjoy the actions set and thanks for watching.
