What's up? Hey, everybody! Hello and welcome to Episode #101 of Speaking English Podcast. Today, sitting for also Christmas time, we have lamb versus lamp. Well, first one is spelled l-a-m-b and the second one is spelled l-a-m-p. That's basically really easy; the 'b' is silent as in other words we had before like tomb, for example, numb, dumb, all these words with 'b' in the end but it's not pronounced. And, lamp spelled with the 'p' and that is pronounced. The first one, lamb, that's the animal which you can also cook for Christmas or for other occasion, and if you are a vegetarian, I don't mean to hurt. And the other one, lamp is basically something that gives you light, for example, pull this plug here, you can see the screen went a little bit dark. Plug it in, it's brighter again, so light. Lamps spread light. Look, basically it's lamb versus lamp. Now, I have something here, a giveaway that's a little CD I got in today's paper. It's a language course, Business English, it's part 2, topic is Small Talk and it's done by a pretty renowned German brand called Langenscheidt.
