You have made a big investment in your MBA. A big investment in both time and in money. Now MBAs are a bit like an Army boot camp. They are very intense and high levels of collegiality have built up amongst people that have done MBAs. Hi! I am Toby Marshall and I run Abacus Recruitment, real advices to corporations on recruiting and retaining good people. One thing that we look for in particular is people that are well-networked. You cannot do your job well in this new economy unless you are well-networked with people in a broad range of professions in other companies.
One of the best networks is Graduate Management Association, the GMAA. It is a network of people that have Masters in Business Administration and we have regular functions, great functions, for example, the First Thursday Club. Every Thursday we get our leading speaker, counselling across to us about particular management issue and so the discussion group. It's great, it's very intense. We would have regular boardroom briefings by CEOs both in up their boardrooms and share their plans and their ideas.
The GMAA has access that is very hard to get elsewhere. It's a great network, come and enjoy this at the GMAA. It's a small investment although in huge investment, you have done in your MBA. Look forward to say you were at our functions. Thank you!
