[Music Playing] Hi everyone! I am Eric Rochow and this is Real World Green. Today we are not on the lake; we are not on the roof we are in Eric’s kitchen. Where you can actually save a lot of energy and be a lot of greener. If you got not need to heat something up especially if its on summer of if you are going to cook something consider using the microwave instead of the oven. Microwaves onlyuse 20% of the energy that and oven well in cooking something or heating something up, kind of you need. And also, if you had this on in the summer you know that this thing is going to heat up your house a lot. You got the oven going and it is just a giant heat source just selling out a ton a heat. In addition, the heating up your food or cooking that food that you have in there. Try up the microwave there is a lot of stuff that you can cook in there. You can steam food in the microwave. I think you can braise things at the microwave it does not brown things very well I give you that. But, if it is a middle of the summer or you just want to cut down on your electric bill, your energy bill do not use the oven as much use the microwave. And of course if you put the microwave on a power strip because we talk about that already you are going to save for the more energy because microwave oven is use more energy when you turn it off because it is basically clock is running out time and then when you use them all right. So, do you think, come at the green house and tell me green/house.tv, all right and make it a great day, enjoy cooking bon apetit.
