I love how simple little touches make all the difference this time of year. I was inspired by a candelabra that hangs above a sitting area… what a perfect place to infuse some wintry nature. An abundance of fresh boxwood sprigs left this wiry gem.

Even if you have got a beautiful place that you normally like to sit, watch television or read a book, that's also a place to add a little magic of the holidays. And you don't need to go over boring, it doesn't need to feel like that the gigantic Christmas explosion although I will say, my house, I kind of go there it's Christmas. But little touches I think go along way. So, I just wanted to share this is a very pretty setting. John and I created this little sitting area here. We use it all the time. Sometimes we'll have movie at night with the boys. John and I will sit here and the boys will sit over there. And it's just a comfortable place for us and as the seasons go by, little bits and pieces about it change. In the holidays when I was kind of wandering around the house, looking at what I want to do? What I want to change this year? I thought this would be a great place for me to add a few little beautiful touches. This chandelier, this is just a wire chandelier. It's actually a candelabrum. It's just tied to the ceiling with a big piece of rope, I love how rustic that feels and this is such a cool piece. You can find vintage ones or new ones but I love it because I can always find a way to stick good stuff into it and you know me, with my boxwood, how much I love it. I cut a bunch of it. And I just wanted to show you how easily you can stick something into it. Now, mind you more than likely don't have one of these. If you don't, you probably have some sort of lighting picture or a chandelier or that kind of thing. You can apply the same thing to that. Just sort of leave green or whatever greens you might have access too. So, with this piece all I do essentially is, I just kind of tuck them in pretty imperfectly. I don't really care about it being -- I really don't care about it being imperfect. In fact, I think it's just kind of nice the way it's -- just kind of comes off, the edges and it looks more natural. But it's so pretty, just like a floating green and I just tie this pretty glittered star ornament on to the bottom. And then a few other little touches to this beautiful table. I just added this pretty angel, a few glittered deer and a tiny tree, a gold candle in the middle. Really simple little things. This will be easy with 5 seconds to set the whole thing up. But it will also be just as easy for me to box it all up and put it away, when I am ready to wrap up the whole Christmas thing.
