I think that getting groomsmen a gift is very important because I had been a groomsmen and I had also been a groom. And the most important thing for the gift is to make it personal, no matter what it is. It is a special day you guys are all good friends and you want to remember that day every time you use that gift.
And one time, it was not a gift really, well it is a gift but it was not a usable item but it was a great idea. The groom had a caricature done of all of the groomsmen and give copies to everybody. I really like that. That hangs in my house today in I laugh every time I look at it.
Other gift ideas are personalize duffle bag with stuff in it, you know. Really, you know, pertinent to your relationship with this particular person you know—could be goof, could be a favorite football jersey or whatever, but just something personal you know, again personal is the key.
Other ideas I have got in a pocket watch that was personalize with a really nice graving in it. And then of course you know, people fall into the category of just wanting to get everybody a pocket knife and there is nothing wrong wit that, but in all honesty, I think I have lost everyone that I have got and I have got maybe two or three of them I just can not seem to hang on to it.
But again the most important thing is to think it through and get something that is classy and that people can use, and make it personal in some way that you perform that it will mean a lot to your groomsmen.
