Hi. I am Chris Taylor. I am going to tell you about a new application from Roxio. Today, your world is captured digitally and therefore your memories are secure for generations to come. However, somewhere in the closet perhaps or in the garage, you have things like this. For you young people, this is called a VHS tape and it contains video and to play it, you need one of these sleek devices known as a “VCR”. Unfortunately, these devices are quickly becoming obsolete and these are quickly deteriorating and with it, baby’s first steps, your wedding nuptials, and family reunions. So Roxio created easy VHS to DVD and it just like the name as it sounds, it allows you to get these analogs bits and bites off the tape then into a digital form. Put it on DVD. Put it on portable devices. More importantly secure that for generations to come. It is a software-hardware combo. The software is based on Roxio’s popular, easy media creator. One out create a 2009 line and the hardware something that looks like these, USB and a cable to take in your audio and video outputs from your analog device, easy peasy. Good news about this application as well. It captures VHS tapes that allow you to convert them, but also LPs so break out the classics. Let me show you how it works within the software. Once you have connected your VCR to your PC using the supplied hardware and put a blank a DVD in your burner, double click the application icon to launch the program. Select the task plug and burn to launch an assistant which will lead you to the process of transferring the content from your VHS tape onto DVD. Once in the task assistant, you may change the menu design. This is the menu you will see when viewing the resulting DVD in your player. Lots of pro-design templates to choose from, select okay once you find the one you like. Now, you may choose to name your project. This will also be the title for your DVD. Not much more to do here if the default settings are fine. Once you are finish typing simply select next. To begin to preview the VHS tapes simply select play on the VCR. Now, you can view the content and define some of the settings for the resulting DVD such as video quality. We will make some picture enhancement which is what I am doing here. Again, most instances the default settings will be fine. Now simply select capture to begin capturing the content. You may also set the duration for recording so you can set it and walk away. The capture will stop once the timer has elapsed or if you are doing it manually, if you select stop capture. Now, you simply select finish for the project to begin burning. A burn dialogue will appear to give you feedback on the progress. Once complete select okay to close that dialogue and congratulations you have just successfully brought some of your 20th century content into the digital age. Enjoy the results in your living room or use other features available on easy VHS to DVD to enjoy the portable devices. Again now, not only can you convert VHS tapes but also some of your classic recordings on a LP or cassette. You connect using the same cable, features are included to streamline the process automatically dividing all the individual tracks on an album and using an intelligent database adding the correct tagging information such as song, album, and artist. Even features for reducing pops and hisses. So there you have it a whirlwind tour of how to revived, relived and enjoy some personal memories and entertainment with Roxio’s easy VHS to DVD.
