Hi we are here to talk about creating kitchen that's friendly for kids. Probably one of the first and foremost important things of all, you know this already I am sure, is you want to get rid of all of your toxic chemicals and buy environmental friendly ones that are not going to leave toxic residues on the floors or counters or in front of your cupboards so that your child is not ingesting this stuff by licking their fingers after they have crawled on the floor. You want to have kid safety locks on the cup board doors, on the bottom part of the kitchen, but have one cup board that's dedicated to the child's safe play, plastic tubs or different things that they can pull out and play with while you are in the kitchen preparing meals. You might also want to consider having those big plastic alphabet letters on the fridge because that will give them something to do that's creative. Now of course we have be conscious of the heat factor and its very scary to think of how children can get burned if they were near the stove. It's important to never be carrying your child when you are dealing with boiling water or any of that because things happen and sometimes we are startled will make you spill and your kid can get a burn very easily. You are also thinking about plugs in your kitchen. Make sure you have those little safety things that you stick in the outlet that's plastic and that keeps the outlet from being open to the child with the fork trying to find out what that hole in the wall is all about. I guess that's probably the most - those are probably the most important things but its most important that you involve your kid in the activities that you are involved in in the kitchen, if you ever want them to do the same later on with you and want to cook or prepare meals for themselves one day. So just try to make it fun and keep it safe.
