This tutorial will show you how to create an email account in Outlook Express. Let's go ahead and add a new mail account. Enter your name as you would like it to appear in your outgoing mail. Enter the email address for the account you wish to create. Check your Welcome Email for what to enter here. Typically it will be mail.example.com, of course replacing example.com with your actual domain. If outgoing email is offered in your hosting account, set your SMTP to mail.example.com, of course, replacing examples.com with your own domain (check your welcome Email for details). If you are using your ISP for outgoing mail, it will be something like smpt.yourISP.com. Check with them for the proper setting. Enter your account name as per your welcome Email. Typically, it will be your entire email address. However, some servers are configured to require only the username. Enter your email password. Click Finish to complete the process. Now let's set your account properties. Give your email account a name. This can be anything you like - it is for your reference only. Your hosting or ISP will likely require server authentication. Your hosting Welcome Email (or your setup notice from your ISP) will let you know. Unless otherwise specified, you can usually use the same settings as your incoming server. Select which connection you are using. Guess what? You're done! Good job! To make sure everything works, try sending yourself an email.
