Female: Your bright child has problems staying focused in the classroom. At home, he can’t remember the details of his homework and it’s a real chore to get him sit still long enough to try it. Children with ADHD are often intelligent and extremely creative. They simply has les control over their impulses than other children of the same age. Diagnosing ADHD is tricky. Questions should be asked about classroom performance, interpersonal relationships, and ability to focus among other topics it is particularly difficult to diagnose ADHD in children five years of age and younger because many preschool children exhibit some ADHD symptoms. In addition, children change very rapidly during the preschool years. Diagnosing ADHD in teenagers can also be challenging because of normal adolescence hormonal fluctuations. ADHD is not simple to diagnose, symptoms may not be easily distinguishable from normal child to behavior. It can also be caused by other disorders.
