Today, we are going to be dividing this huge lace cap hydrangeas it just gotten too big for this area of the yard but I want to do is take out one section of this and I am going to move it to another area of the yard where we know it will do pretty well. So the first thing you want to do on this particular area it is so big but if I look down really closely here I can see that this is a nice cloth. So, I could take my shovel in here. I am going to dig this around and I am actually going to go out probably about a foot from around the edge of the plant. I just want sort of make a nice hole by taking the spade at an angle and just go in there.
Now, I really want to try to get all this roots in here so I do not damage the plants at all. Once I have done that, I am going to gently pop this guy out and then we are going over to another one which we have already started to do and I show you how that looks. Alright, so this particular piece I already did in the interest of time and you could see that I have got this out here. I have got all the roots. We are going to take this and I am just going to put it in. I got a pot over here. I am just going to put it in an old pot that I saved. We will pop that in there. Then, we are going to take this into a new area of the garden and we will replant it and at that point we will show you how to dig the hole and will get that in for you.
