Male: Danny I’m cleaning a fence in my backyard I need to find my property lines, how do I do that. Male: Rick I’m sure glad to hear you’re going to locate those property lines first. A lot of people try to bypass that step and wind up in a little bit of trouble it’s always important to check out what the building codes are in relation to any construction project you might be doing at your home then you must locate those property lines. It’s really as easy as a phone call to a license land surveyor which you can find in the phonebook. The surveyor will review the original track maps that are filed with the county when your home was built then they’ll mark your property by placing wood sticks in the four corners of your land. Now if you’re just curious about finding out where your property lines are without the expense of hiring a surveyor you maybe able to locate the four corners by using a metal detector to find the original metal pegs that were installed to mark your boundaries.
