Hey every one! More on how to green your kitchen, today we will talk about the microwave. When you are cooking, try some microwave cooking and especially if you going to do reheating something. Say like these chickpeas we had the other night, instead of cooking them, reheating them on the stove, I am going to reheat them in the microwave and I will use two-third of the energy that I would have used on the stove's top, something to think about. There is also recipes for just complete microwave cooking what you are going to need, you don't want to do it everyday and all the time, but consider using the microwave. These new ones are much safer I mean everyone thinks you might, radiate or something. Well, that's kind of thing in the past just don't stick your head right next while it's running. Did you know that the microwave uses more energy, over the time of the year, a span of year than when turned on. Now, why is that because almost all of them have a little clock and this instant on, oh pad here. So, it's always in on state, the how could you save more energy. You should know this by now, power strip put your microwave oven on a power strip and turned off the power strip when you are not using it. You are not going to have the clock function but you know who needs that. So, if can turn your microwave all the way off with the power strip you save even more. Alright, so, first of all consider cooking with your microwave and then consider putting in a power strip.
