Hey everyone! I am Eric Rochow and this is Real World Green, and today we are going to talk about toilet paper. Specifically, we are going to talk about recycled toilet paper. Now of course, we all know that recycled toilet paper is a good thing, but there seems to be this myth out there, not a myth, but maybe a perception that recycled toilet paper means it's used toilet paper that's been recycled to be new toilet paper and that's not true. Well hold on. Recycled toilet paper is toilet paper that's been used for office paper or other kinds of paper or perhaps from a press or something and is been bleached with an oxygen process, not a chlorine process and softened into toilet paper like this. This is as well as Mumenshantz guys to do this kind of thing. Anyway, I think you should use it and here is why. This is your average four pack of recycled toilet paper and if every household, according to Seventh Generation here, if every household replaced one four pack of regular toilet paper with recycled toilet paper like this, we do a couple things, first we would save one and a half million trees from being cut down to be made into toilet paper. We would save 3.7 million cubic feet of land fill space, in other words we would save 5000 garbage trucks full of stuff out of land fill because we are recycling paper to use it for toilet paper and we would also save 523 million gallons of water which basically converts to a year supply of water for your average family of four for 4100 families. So it's a lot of numbers, I know. But what my point is, that recycled toilet paper is just about the same as regular toilet papers, especially this kind, because this is the kind I use and I had in the bathroom. But, back to my tricks here, using this will be a little greener, it's not expensive, it's just about the same price as regular toilet paper. You can also order it online, you can use it, well for juggling. Do you remember that Mumenshantz thing where they would like, they do this kind of thing, I don't know. But you get the point. Alright. Recycled toilet paper saves land fills space, saves trees, saves water. Good for everyone, it's about the same thing as regular toilet papers.
