Hi and welcome the 4AllMemory.com Memory Installation guide. Today we will be showing you how to install memory in a desktop PC. As you can see, I have already taken off the side panel of this PC and laid it on its side. We want to unplug all the devices and the power cord before you do anything. The only thing you want to do before you start is you want to grab yourself on a piece of metal. This is done because static electricity can build up at times and if you have a build up of static electricity you can discharge the memory or damage it or you can damage your motherboard as well. So just you can just touch the power supply or any other piece of metal on the computer or if there is a piece of metal on the desk or anywhere in the room, you can make sure discharge the electricity. Now, we will take a look at the insides of the computer and see if there are PCI slots which are used for other components under the screen plastic hood is your CPU. Here is your CMOS Battery. And of course, here are your memory slots, you can tell because they have black slots with white clips. Usually that will be the case, on occasion, they will have different clips for instance if you have four slots then you can have two white clips and two black clips. Here we have white clips, black slots, so each one, you will take it out. Just press firmly on both sides, both clips at the same time, press down and away and as you do that the memory will popup on its own. So just pick the memory up and you want to get our new memory with 4AllMemory.com and you will align it using the slot that is on the memory. As you can see there is a notch on the memory that corresponds with the notch on the motherboard of the actual slot. So you want to make sure you line it up the right way. Put it in there and just kind of line it up. It will be a little tricky sometimes. Make sure you line it up right and then once you do that you want to press equal pressure on both ends of the module and then just press down until you can see the clips popup and it feels firmly sited. And once that is done what I will do is put the side panel back on, plug everything back up and we are ready to go. This has been a 4AllMemory.com, memory installation guide.
