First step to installing RAM on to your computer is first you should shut everything down and unplug everything from it. So we are going to do that now. Cool, there we go, unplug everything, power and all and then we are going to get started.
So first of all, you want to turn off your laptop over and you are going to have all of these base. This one is going to be a hard drive I think and this is your battery of course. This is your RAM right here, it is indicated by these little two RAM plugs here and then you got little diagrams and then you are sitting on stable rack and do that. We just need this thing so make sure you are on an area free of static electricity because you do not want electrostatic discharge and to ruin your all parts and stuffs like that.
So, we are just going to open this here. I got a tool by diagram and it is mutually awesome. Okay, so you are going to take of these two little screws and now we are going to open that compartment here and whoala, and your RAM here. So once you got that set, this is the next step.
So the next step is take out your old RAM and use this little two metal pieces here that you can just pull off and your RAM will just pop up. Carefully, grab it by the size, only do not ever touch these leads, this little silver here. Let me go to Mac and I will show you.
Okay, see all these little silver pieces like on all the tips and everything and this pins and all of that, these are called leads. You never want to touch those because that can actually damage it, touching the sides is actually be fine as long as you are not having your hands on a both and steady.
So once you got that, set it aside somewhere safe. It is going to put on the laptop, it should be good there. Take out your other old RAM, as the same way, push on these little silver things on the side, it should be the same from most laptops. There we go, take that one out. Be really careful, you do not want to damage all these parts. Okay, so you take out your new RAM here, just pull it out. I will always use the new RAM’s case to put for the old ones in and you save those for later backups of course, so the old ones in the case.
Next, you just put them in like reverse process. Just put the RAM right in and just push all the way down to the hard part as you are not touching with the leads. Okay, you got one in. You do not need to click because it will automatically click for you.
And you go ahead for the next part in. It is pretty much like I say feature, you will know exactly how to put it in because you have that little slit right there. That will guide you on where to put them. So you put that in like that and you just push it down and that is it, you got your RAM installed. You are all set to go, so just screw this back on here.
I am almost done make them snag, do not over tighten them, do not strip on. Once they are nicely plugged, that is about that thing because I need to go really, okay. That is it your RAM is installed and starts up your computer.
So that is it, once you got that installed carefully, laptops are expensive. So flip it over, go ahead and plug things back in to your laptop like you had them before and start it up.
