Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my name is Mark Woolery and I am the owner of www.askthecomputercoach.com.
Today’s tutorial is going to on how to install Windows Media Player 11?
So the first thing you want to do, is double click your internet explorer and let us go and look for it. How do we do that? Let us go right to Google, click on that and let us type in the Windows Media Player 11, choose it right there. Click on Windows Media Player 11. Okay and the screen will come up right here and I look right in the middle of the screen you will see or it says, Download Now. So you will click that, okay and you will click continue right here or it says it wants to validate your operating system, click Continue. Okay, click download. Then, you are going have a box come up like this, you will want to click Run. Okay and that will take a few moments. Okay now, you are going to come with the screen like this and you are going to want to go ahead and click Accept. Okay and then what is going to happen is you are going to wind up with the desktop icon, if not you want to go ahead and go down to your programs down here.
Start, programs and so on and then going create a desktop icon right here, double click on it, and here it is. Now, I am going to go ahead, this is shrunken down here by using this button right here, but let us go and open it all the way out. Okay, so you will see Windows Media Player right here and let me go and get this up here. So you can see, here is your buttons down below, you have your play, your rewind and rewind and fast forward and your—you can mute yourself here if you would like. And you had your volume and you repeat on or off. Now, what you repeat on or off is, say if you want to listen to a song and you want to repeat, you will click on that and it will repeat continuously.
So again, in the lower in right hand corner you will see this little box right here. Or if you click this, watch what happens. Okay, it is kind of cool. You will shrink it down. Now, why would you want to do that? Well, let us say you are working on your desktop and you are listening to a CD or DVD or whatever and you do not want to take up your desktop because you are doing something on it already, just shrink it down and you will, you know, you will play forever.
So again, this is another tutorial from askthecomputercoach.com. I would like thank you for coming by and make sure you stop by computerstacoma.com, if you are in the local area here and come on Washington area.
Have a great day.
