Female 1: Could eating organic be the best-kept weight loss secret of all time? Blaming the obesity epidemic on over eating and inactivity has yet to solve any problems. But now, research is pointing to the expanded production and usage of synthetic chemicals as the culprit for the current weight problem in America. Male: The more processed the food is that we put in our bodies, the less our body actually recognizes it. Female 1: Fifty years ago, hormones, preservatives and pesticides were not used to produce the foods we now eat. Our bodies cannot use the products for energy or get rid of them, so the unused leftovers from whatever you eat are stored inside our bodies and now, it has been shown that they alter the natural functions inside. Female 2: When you are eating non-organic foods or processed foods, it takes a lot more energy to help process those foods and the body is unsure of what to do with them. So, instead of using the energy to positive benefits like being able to do the activities you enjoy doing, your body has to expend more energy to process the foods and the chemicals. Male: Those 100-calorie packs and all these things marketed as diet foods are one of the worst things that could ever come to the market. They let people think that these are actually nutritious foods or that they are doing something good for themselves because they are only in the 100-calories. Female 4: Now the reasoning behind that is there are many different ingredients in this little 100-calorie packs that your body really cannot use for energy. The leftovers that your body cannot digest just end up getting stored inside your body. There is some research saying that they alter the make up of the fat, making it harder for you to lose weight when you do decide that that is something you need to do. Female 5: You are what you eat and the more naturally you can eat, the better you feel, the better you function. Female 6: Eating organic promote weight loss because you are not ingesting the chemicals that sabotage and slow your metabolism by taxing your organs. Instead, your body on an organic diet is able to filter out these built up toxins and get to work slimming down more efficiently.
