Hi, I am Sandy with Ace Floral and today we are going to make a small grape vine wreath, something that you can use in your house. We will call these home décor and I have a small wreath. I have already glued on a few begonia leaves to it. I am going to add a little maiden hair fern. This is a single stem, it looks like this when you buy it and I just love this because it is lace and a little more petite. We are just going to glue some pieces on. We are going to have some pieces come to one side and some draping down the other side using the hot glue pot that we have available. It is quite beautiful because you do not have to hold the gun in your hand. You can just dip and stick and I would love that. Anything that freeze-up a hand works wonderfully.
Just some greens glued on here and there and then we are going to add some flowers and you can add any color and any kind you would like depending on what goes with your house. That is a lot of individual decision making. Then we give this some little trim because I think it is taking up a little top. I have chosen because I am a berry woman. You look at these rose hips. They look like little berries and they are beautiful and if you have roses, you have seen these on there. We have a couple of stems of rose hips. I think that goes with the grape vine, looks very natural. It is a beautiful burgundy color and we will glue one of those on either side. You will notice that just because your wreath is not large does not mean that your arrangement can not be larger. We are taking a small wreath and our designs are actually making it look a little bit larger.
I have a third stem of rose hips and I am going to cut this one up. In floral design we usually cut everything up and then put it all back together. I am going to do that so I can bring these rose hips in closer to the center as well. So now, I have some on the outside and some in the center. And now, I would like to add some flowers to our wreath. I am going to call this a year-round wreath. This is not fall; this is not going to be Christmassy, but something that you can have hanging in your house anytime.
I have little hydrangeas here, some little hydrangeas flourettes. It is actually one whole flower and I cut it up ahead of time in just some small bunches. We are going to glue on four of those and can you see how pretty that is already? We have got some rose hips, some greenery and some hydrangea flowers. We have got a little baby’s breath here because this also like the maiden hair fern is whispy and light. I think we lighten it up with a dark wreath with some dark berries over on it. I will use a little bit lighter flower. Again, all of these are just glued in dipping in to our glue cut and then adding the flowers one piece at a time. I try to make sure when I am gluing it into the wreath that I am actually gluing it into the wreath and not just adhering it one of the other stems of flowers.
The hot glue is pretty strong you want to make sure you have enough on your stem to hold it in place and not so much that it will burn your finger. The last thing that I am going to do is make a little bow to finish it off. This design could be hanging right side up or your design could be at the bottom. There is nothing to say you can put your design anywhere you would like. This one is I actually created to be this way and let me just add the bow and it will be all set. I have chosen a very fine sheer ribbon because most of my flowers are light. I would like to have the contrast of a sheer light weight ribbon against the grapevine

I will just make a piece of wire wrap it around the ribbon and then wrap that wire right around the wreath and then we will use that wire to make a hook to hang the wreath as well. So, we have this sheer ribbon, the hydrangea, the baby’s breath, the rose tips, maiden hair fern and some begonia leaves. Is not that quick and easy?
