Learn how to make a picture frame.

Hi stampers! Today I am going to show you I made this frame it is actually a gift from my husband, I am sending it to him so let me show you how it works . You just sit it up on your nice stand of your desk, this is a picture of Jessica and then you just flip it and you get another picture of Jessie and Bowser. Here is Bowser and there is a picture of me, so yes you just set it up and it is really cute. Right so let me show you how I did that, actually you are going to need four pieces of paper. You need two pieces of designer paper, I am using the summer picnic and I am using the Bashful blue so you need two of a color and two of your designer paper if you want to do it that way. And you going to cut off four pieces at 3 5/8” x 5 1/8” you are going to cut off four pieces like that. And then from my book or my frame, I am using the Formaica chips that you did not get at home depot or lowes; I do not have any large chip boards so I am just going to use this but what you are going to do first is you are going to punch a hole with your crop-a-dile with the 3/16 side in a punch a hole and you going to center it between the main hole and the edge of your Formaica sample and you are just going to punch a hole and then you are going to take your other piece of your Formaica, you going to line them up and then you are going to use the crop-a-dile. We going to get this paper out here so I can see while I am punching. Okay so you going to line those up and then you are going to punch your hole that you previously punch, you going to line that up and then punch it again and do the other side. [Demo] Okay, so you should have your two Formaica pieces with your holes. All right, so I am going to show you how I put the frame together just using one and then we will go from there but you going to do both pieces the same way. I am going to show you how to do this one. Okay so I am using the Tomboy Multi. I love this glue, we just started some it was stamping up but it got two ends, one end is a fine tip and one end is a brush. We are going to use the brush one tip and you are going to apply your adhesive glue to your Formaica front of your chip or Formaica whatever you call it and the brush works good because quite a bit of glue and take it all the way to the edge, just spread it with the brush tip quite a bit on there. Okay so I am going to take my Bashful blue and I am just going to lay this over top of my Formaica and you can work from the back side because it is very forgiving; it takes a little bit to adhere but you can move it around a little bit to position it to be centered of your cardstock and make sure that it adheres down really good. [Demo] This will take a few minutes so I am just going to show you what I did. Okay then your cardstock and your designer paper is cut a little bit larger in the time purpose because we want to trim that down our self close to the Fomaica sample, just turn it down to your scissors, close as you can get it. That sticks to that glue. [Demo] Okay so once you get your one side and your Fomaica chip, you can get your crop-a dile again using a 3/16 side and you going to punch your holes again winding it up with the Fomaica punch that you previously did. Make it stuck in there because of the glue, so ket me that out. You definitely want to see the hole where you are landing it up with. Okay so then when you got your holes because that is going to be where you going to put your frame together and on the back side you are going to do the same thing as you did before with the Tomboy Multi Applier adhesive all over the back side spreading it out right to the edge. [Demo] Okay, then you are going to edge your other piece of designer paper at top, working from the back side you can see how it is positioned. Okay, I am going to adhere that down. [Demo] Okay then you are going to turn that side down to—oh it is sticking everything just like glue, you will love that glue by the way it is really good. Okay just trim your designer paper to the edge of your Fomaica Chip sample. Okay then you are going to want to let that set and adhere really good and then you will go ahead and punch a hole again. You going to punch line, you going to finish it off that punch, lining it up with the previous punch that you did already. I am going to get that out, so I can line it up good. Okay, so I get the hole on both sides and you are going to do both on the same way just as I just did. Okay for the sake of time I went ahead and did two prior to the video and next you are going to take your sanding block and you are going to work in a downward motion on the edges of your Fomaica sample board and you just going to finish off that edge of your Fomaica with the designer paper on your cardstock; always working on a downward motion and I am just going to the side to get a little fraise of there and you want to do both sides just like that. Okay so you want to do both pieces so they are finished. So now you going to edge your ribbon and I am using the red gingham ribbon and I am going to put my book together back to back. Oh it just stick on my fingers. Okay then you going to feed your ribbons to the holes and then you just going to tie it in a knot and then I always like to lay it flat so I do not get it too tight because you want that to flip but you want your knot to be even really tight so you could add some adhesive like squeeze a little bit a dot of the Tomboy Multi in there if you want to give this an extra support. Okay I am doing the other side the same way, wind them up, put them up end to end and then just tie your knot [Demo] I am having troubles here doing my knot for some reason. Okay and then trim that down. [Demo] Okay, so there is your frame. Okay and then you can just flip it. It is cute. Here is the finish one again. Let me just put it. Okay. Thanks for stopping by, we will see you tomorrow. Bye.
