Hi stampers!
Today, I am going to show you what I came up with when I have seen this little gift card holder you had probably seen them all over the place but it is, is it holds a little gift card inside. But I was thinking, I wanted to do something different. I did not know really - I did not really have any plans on what I was going to do but I just wanted to do something so I came up with this cute little holder. It is the same size and I would just do something different inside. I do my suspension card inside so I am going to show you how to do that today.
You are going to take your cardstock at 4 ¼” x 11, you are going to score it 3”, 5 ½” and 8”. And then on the back side, you are going to add your sticky strip which I already did. And then from the other side here, on the back side of your sticky strip, you are going to take your large tag punch, put your tag punch all the way in and punch it out and I am going to score this over here. I am going to take my other side, I am going to punch that out with my tag punch because I find it very hard to punch through two pieces of cardstock at the same time. So I punched my first one and then I punched my second one. So then you are going to score all these over, fold it over like that.
So now, here comes the suspension card, you are going to take your - I will use my Happy Heart Day Stamp with a Happy Valentines little tag in the center. I stamped it twice and I colored it with my stampin’ up markers. You are going to take your adhesive and you are going to apply it pretty generally or a lot, you want to apply a lot generously. Then you are going to take your linen thread, and I had a piece cut here, hold on a second, see what happens? So in got my line thread here, I am going to put that right in the middle of my tag, and I want to layer this on top of that making sure it lines up pretty perfectly which it will if we use the small tag punch. Because you are going to use the small tag punch to punch out the tag itself.
So now in the inside of your or on the back wise where the sticky strip is, you are going to apply a little bit of adhesive on the top side and the bottom side. Apply your tag in the center, and then I would like to take my sticky strip out here, I will just cut two little snips of that and you are going to apply it over that just secured in place nicely. Peel that off, then take your scissors and you are going to trim that off and then you are going to seal it up making sure you pressed down to make that adhere really good. That is it. Is it not cute? Then you just decorate it, seal it up with the ribbon.
Now this is my finish one again, I will use my white gel pen, certainly celery, rose red, that is it. I will twist it really good and then seal it shut so when the receiver of the card opens it, it will automatically spin for them. Thank you for stopping by, we will see you, bye!
