Hi! This is Luke from www.wokfusion.com and we are having a little segment today. We are going to talk about how to make fast Chinese food easily. Many of these days, we are working so hard, we are out of our homes nearly 10 plus hours a day working. And there is really little time for us to prepare good and rather healthy meals. I am going to review some tips that will save you time in preparing your Chinese meals. Here is some great quick ways to cook your Chinese food fast. One, use common ingredients as a substitute for hard-to-find ingredients. There are some Asian foods that you may not be able to find readily available in your local grocery store. So you will need to find and use some substitutes for these foods when you cook your Chinese meals. For instance, if you were to cook a dish with asparagus, you may want to substitute that with Broccoli, maybe some string beans or even some other green vegetables. Another example would be if you were to final substitute for black mushrooms what would you use for that? Well, you can use other mushrooms such as the traditional fresh American mushrooms. Two, buy food ingredients in larger quantity. An example would be if you were to buy a whole chicken, you can remove the bones or debone the chicken and use these bones for soup steak. And with the other part of the chicken, you can use chicken meat for the chicken or Chinese dishes to be stir fried with fresh balls from your refrigerator. Another technique would be to buy a fresh fish like Walleye or Tilapia and remove the bones from the fish which is also known a filleting the fish. Save the bones for your soup steak and use the fillet part of the fish for stir-frying. In that, you can see there are number of ways that you can use your food when you are buying them in bulk. Three, make several meals from bulk purchase. So, for the chicken that is not used when you purchase that large quantity of chicken, you can place them at the pieces in aluminum foil and then place them in your freezer so you can use them for your next meal in the next few days. And when you need this piece of chicken, you can take this chicken that is wrapped in the thin foil and to easy defrost them, you can use a technique by placing this aluminum foil with the fish between two pieces of meat and this allows the thawing of the fish pieces rather quickly. Four, use leftover food for your meals. If you could pick a Chinese vegetables dish that you were doing or cooking from the previous nights, you can easily add some noodles or some rice to this vegetable dish. And you can make this as another meal for the next day or the following day or you can also take a few piece of steak with some spices that will give your new meal a bit more flavor. And I would advice using this food that you cooked from the previous night within a few days and if you have anything in your refrigerator that is sitting there for several weeks, I would ask you to discard it because you may get ill from eating them. Five, make some quick bites if you are really pressed for time. You can buy some frozen steam bones from the store and it comes in a variety of flavors. Here are some of examples, there are flavoring of red bean paste, black bean paste and chicken or meat filling. And you are going to take these bones and steam a few extra once for breakfast and then once you steam them, leave these cooked bones cool off at room temperature and then store them in a refrigerator. You may wrap them with some thin foil. And then later on the day or the following day, you can take these bones out of the thin foil and place it on a plate and steam them with a steamer or you can use a microwave for later snack. Six, you want to save some energy and fuel by using your equipment efficiently. And we are talking about for example, if you were to steam your bun, you can actually steam your buns on other layers of the steamer if you use the steam in tray.
