When that was a time, we are going probably see a lot of damage that occurred last during your lawn show up now. And it is going to show up with things like this big large patches a bare soil. Now it is important and when we get those patches, covered up as quickly as possible because if you do not what is going to happen is, as you can see here, there is to going be lots of widths that finally moved there way into it. So the best thing to over see. Now the first thing you want to do is area your lawn. Let us take this little occur samples out of this area and what they will do is they is it will allow if you have get a hard a soil level. We will make that there is moisture. And some, of the new soil that you going to be applying once you will fall down it until it is hole and works really well. Now the other thing you want to do, as we moved back here is to make sure that any of the patch is remove from the area. Because it is put soil over patch where can actually make a barrier and again you are not going to get the roots to go down deep. So what I have got is a little gizmo here some people call a masric some people call a fat trick. I heard actually be call as strake, but it is works very well in basically you can set the levels and just scrape over your lawn. And what it will do is it remove some of nice patch level that is here. So I am just going bring here over like. So when you can see it, it is clearing this all right down to some good soil. Now in this case I am looking at the very small area. So the next thing what I am going to do is, I am going to pick some good soil and I will spread it all over. Lets get for that width and I am going to rake into my lawn. Now what you want to do is you want have both a half an inch to a quarter inch of good soil. And that should be enough to get your seed to germinate quite nicely. Now the next decision that you have is the type of seed that you want to put on. Now there are basically, two types of seed. There is an over seed which is perennial ryegrass and then there is blended seed and in these case it is called premium lawn. Now if I was going to do large area I probably want to go with the premium lawn. And the reason for that is a blended one you would not get a whole a lot of different colors in your lawn. So on this case, I can just hands spread it in this certain areas. Preferably, you use a spreader, but remember you can put grassy on two thick as you can saw it, you are going to burn or you can use take over your existing lawn and they are you have it. Some people or worried a little bit about, “Oh, I guess you save birds or other things”. If you want to put a light dusting over the top racked in slightly, make sure it is well water. That is a number one reason why you do not get germination inconsistent watering and your set and hopefully by this summer you can have a beautiful lawn again.
