Hi! I am Carolyn; I am going to explain today the basic rules of backgammon. I am going to use a Play65 board to show you all the equipments you need to start a backgammon game. You have 15 checkers black and white with two dice and a partner; if you would like you can also use a doubling cube.
The backgammon board is divided into four parts; this part is my home board and this one is the partners Home board, these two are the Outer board and the line in between is the Bar.
I am playing with the white checker; I need to get them all into my home board and from there to get them one by one up; that is called Bearing off and I do that before my partner I win the game. Don't miss out; next I am going to show you how to arrange the board for the opening position.
