Speaker: Game #20, Trifecta. Start Trifecta with one player at midfield with a ball, and one player in the goal with two balls. The offensive player at midfield dribbles 15 yards forward and takes a shot, which if scored is worth 3 points. The player in the goal then feeds a rolling ball, which the offensive player must strike inside the penalty area. This made shot is worth 2 points. The goal player then feeds a volley, which the offensive player must strike inside the goal box. This shot is worth 1 point. Let's watch Trifecta in action. Doug starts by shooting off the dribble, then a rolling ball, then a volley. Remember, that accuracy, not power, is the key to shooting success. A hard shot does no good if it misses the goal. The player in the goal can save the ball if it is shot directly at them, but may not move side to side to save the ball. The focus of this drill is shooting accuracy, not goalkeeping. The first player to score 25 points is the winner.
