This section is called raising a gifted child. One way to know that your child is gifted, is they drive in crazy and they ask a lot questions and they'll keep on asking why, why, why, They are very active and they love to play and you'll notice they have very unique sense of humor and they answer things with very unique answers. They see things going out, walking on the street. Another thing that is really cool to do, once your child starts to talk is to write down things that they say, that you think are cool or colletic or fun or odd or quirky and just write them down, you can keep a little book and occasionally read them back to your child. In your child's presence read them to other people, because I think that what it does is, after a while you can have a really cool keep safe to give your child at some point. But also while they are developing, I think it sends a signal that you value, what they say and that you find what they say interesting and that you're listening very intently to that. So in New York City, they give a test for gifted and talented children, and what that test does is, if it score above a certain score then they get placed into a so-called gifted and talented program and we figure why not take it. So Una took the test and she did very, very well on it and so, Una had more options of schools, public schools to go to. When we got the test, they sent a practice test and what I did was, I photocopied the practice test and then I also made my own practice test based on their practice test and I made it a game. So that she took this test many times just in a really fun, low key way. So by the time she was taking test, she can take them over and over and over again.
