I am really, really sick of seeing blurry screen recordings on YouTube. People are tying to teach something but then they upload a super blurry video that you cannot even tell what they are doing. If you can make sure your videos 320x240, I recommend CamStudio but I do not care if you use HyperCam or Camtasia. If you are going to record a full screen, I recommend this program. ZoomIt, it is completely free, you can get it from Microsoft’s website or Sysinternals-www.systeminternals.com or just search ZoomIt in Google but it allows you to zoom in to the screen, zoom in to any portion of the screen, so I do not care if you using Camtasia, my CamStudio here, or HyperCam disgusting HyperCam. Please use ZoomIt if you are going to record full screen.
Okay, it even allows you to draw on the screen for example well, let me okay, just know that the keys are completely configurable and click ctrl+1 to zoom in, click okay and here is Aegisub, let us zoom in real quick. I click ctrl+1 and as you can see, it zooms in and I the same quantity and I can actually just drag my mouse, just like I would normally and then to zoom out, I just click ctrl+1 again and I am zoomed out.
Your keys may vary but I can also control+2 click and it puts me in drawing mode, control+2 and now I can highlight important stuff, when I click here, I click here, or I could just draw a retarded stuff to entertain you. But, it is a really cool feature and it is a program that is very, very tiny. It does not any time at all to download up with the link in the description and that something that you really, really should check out, if ever you need to screen record in full screen.
Okay, here is a quick and lazy tutorial in an 800x600 screen resolution. Here is Britney Spears and here is a goat. I will be transferring the goat’s head Britney Spears’ head and this is to demonstrate the ZoomIt.
There are three ways of cutting a picture of basically an area out of the picture and transferring it. One is the polygon lasso tool. Polygon lasso, here it is. Now, I will zoom in on it, see here it is.
Another one is a little bit more annoying and I think it is the pen tool and another way and finally the laziest way is the extract tool. I will be using the polygon lasso because the extract tool kind of makes some mess; however, whenever I use it the screen is way too big; I have to drag through so I will just be using the polygon lasso tool. It is actually pretty lazy tool. It is very easy I just click around the head. I do not have to be accurate because I could just delete that excess parts really, really quickly but I will just go around the head, just clicking, and clicking and clicking. Again, I do not have to be perfectly accurate, I accidentally cut off half its ear but-oh well, once I have it selected I can actually just use the selection tool and drag it and then drop on to Britney Spears.
Now, that I have it selected on her I can actually control+click layer and grab the selection tool right here and then I right click and then I am going to free transform which is a really, really awesome ability, just click on the free transform and then I can rotate it, I can make it bigger, I can do all kinds of cool stuff. See okay.
I am going to make it bigger first and then I am going to rotate a little bit because the angle is different. And if I control+click little boxes I can actually shift it, I can actually shift the head so that it accommodates a little bit better what is replacing.
Okay, that is really retarded and crude but again this is a very lazy tutorial so bear with me.
So yes, that is how you put something else like replace the head or do something retard like that. Of course the goat head does not fit very well but anyway thanks for listening.
Okay, our final note, once you go into drawing mode, there is actually several colors that you can use based on the quick keys. To get out of drawing mode you can just zoom in again and it leads it. That is all you have to do. I am sure you can find something creative to do with all the colors that you can use but it is a really, really great program.
