You know concrete driveways are really swell. They are great driving services but the problem is you do not always know whether or not they were installed correctly.
Now if a concrete surface here in the tristate area has been put down right, it will withstand just about anything that Mother Nature will throw at it including things that you throw out it like the icing soaks.
Now the problem is, you do not know if your concrete has been put down right. So what do you do? You want to go ahead and install and put down some really easy to use, easy to apply silane/siloxane water repellents.
Now what you have to do first, really simple, you have just got to clean the driveway usually just sweeping it. If there is oil and grease, go ahead and get that off. Make sure the concrete is dry and then buy the right product. Look on the label. You are looking for the word silane/siloxane and water repellents. Do not buy silicone sealers. Those are bad because they form a film on the surface and they do not breathe.
Now what you do is you go ahead and buy or borrow, rent one of the little hand pump sprayers. Pour the material into the hand pump sprayer. Pump it up and start spraying the material on to the concrete and let it soak in. The water repellents are clear. They would not change the color of the driveway. They are splendid.
