Shawn New Testament and Old Testament Hebrew bible, well, in some ways they are the same and in some ways they are very different. When the books are the same the Christians just organize them differently Christians and their Old Testament do not have three different divisions like the Jews do, and they put the prophet Malachi at the very end because Malachi says the whole of said Elijah the prophet to announce the young, I do not know I get all the Norah. It is great and awesome being a Norah which for them is a perfect said way into the New Testament. Now, for Malachi and for Jews of course he is the last prophet and he is put at the end of the prophetic section. But, the Hebrew Bible which we call as “Tanak” which is an acronym for the three names of the Hebrew books, the three sections of the bible (tofurd) Torah, (noon) for Nevi’im prophets, and (haf) for a Ketuvim the writings that is how we divide it up because we do not believe that there is a New Testament. We do not believe that there is any Testament after the bible. It does not make sense to what is going to be a New Testament and a Koran and all those other books. Other people want to worship their holy books and find religious meaning out of them that is great but for Jews there is only the “Tanak”. So, we have these three divisions, the Torah which is the five books of Moses, the Pentateuch which are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. And then, the middle section which is 21 books the Prophets are: Joshua, Judges, Samuel 1 and 2, and Kings 1 and 2. And then, you have the 15 literary Prophets starting with the three big ones by size which are: Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. And then the 12 little ones which are: Hosea, Amos, Nahum, Habakkuk, Obadiah, Joel, Zachariah, Malachi, etc. And then, you have the third section day writings and that contains all of the rest of the books. You got the five scrolls. We got the book we read at Kazaks Canticle of Canticles, The Book of Ruth, in the summer we have Lamentations, before we got Ecclesiastes to Helen, and then in the spring we got The Book of Esther. And then, you got Chronicles 1 and 2 at the very end which tells the history and story. We got Ezrah and Nehemiah which are the history of the Jews when they returned from the Babylonian expulsion, the rebuild of the temple, before that we got psalms a 150 psalms, and there is so much part of the lethargy. You got proverbs; we got the book Joel which is a great book about theodicy on why bad things happen to good people, all these terrific books in the section of writings. But, again the main difference is the Christians do not have the divisions, they organize the books a little differently. They have this an obviously spirit Theological reserve above their own for putting Malachi at the very end of the Hebrew Bible. And, the main difference is Jews do not call up the Old Testament because we do not have an Old Testament, we have one bible. The Christians, they have an Old Testament and a New Testament so they call it with two different names. I hope those are some basic information about the New Testament and Old Testament.
