Paint strippers are really easy to use. There are several different varieties but I happened to like the one that is semi paste ones. There are kind of thick, they apply very easily and you just put it on with a simple paint brush. I like either dip the stripper out of the metal pan, do not use plastic or paper because sometimes those strippers can actually dissolve those materials and just brush it on to the finish. Follow the directions that are listed on the can. Typically, you have to wait anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes and let the stripper do the work. The biggest mistake you can make is trying to take the stripper off too soon. If you do that, it might require a second or a third application. You can use different tools to help you remove the stripper and the old finish. Try paddy knives, you can also use steel wall some instances, you can use paper towels and to get in little grose do not forget to use toothpicks, they are very effective. Just wipe the stripper off and remember, do not use water to on the wood if it says you can water rinsed the stripper. The water can hurt wood finishes. After the stripper is dried, lightly sand the wood and you are ready to refinish. Oh, it is going to look really nice when I am finished. You know, paint strippers are really wonderful products. Now, I want you to read the label thou about the safety warnings. They are aggressive products, they can burn your skin, they can burn your eyes, and you just got to make sure you wear old clothes.
