Towel Folding Techniques are important if you plan on displaying your towels and I will show you three easy ones try. I am Meghan Carter and this is Ask the Decorator. Have you ever noticed how towels in spas and hotels look so much better than those in your home? They look so fluffier and all around look beautiful. Well the secret is on how they are folded. And today I am going to show you three different ways to fold your towels. They are so easy you won’t have an excuse not to try it. Now the first way is the most traditional. Just take your towel and flip it upside down and then fold it into thirds. After folding it into thirds, fold it into half lengthwise but don’t fold it perfectly in half like that. If you do you’re going to get a really ugly edge. Instead, fold it in half so that it’s just missing the edge and then fold it into half again. And you will see that as you fold it into half the towel fold over that you get a perfectly fresh edge or it looks really nice. Now the second way to fold your towel—you make both edges meet in the middle. After making both edges meet in the middle, you are going to fold it the exact same way we did the first time. So fold it over and don’t go too close to the edge. And then fold it over again, and again. Look at what a great edge you have. You will tell that this one is flatter and wider it kind of makes your towel look bigger, but not as bulky. Now the last way to fold your towel—you want to make both edges meet in the middle again and then instead of folding it in half you are going to bring both edges into the middle. But leave a gap in between both edges, so that when you fold it, it doesn’t bump together. Now the last folding technique is really nice when you plan on stocking a lot of towels on top of each other because then it will have a really nice finish look. Regardless of which one you choose they are all going to look great and I told you it was easy. That took me only about a minute to fold three towels. So you can easily do this in your home.
