Rick: Terrific!
Woman: So we have Rick here, and we have Aimee here.
So we are talking about which Meridian pair first.
Rick: We talked about first the bladder and the kidney.
The bladder is a dual meridian. It is the longest meridian in the body. Actually, it goes from right between the eyebrows and all away down the back, through the cuff muscle and into the little toe and because it is so expensive that you can be diagnose actually through the bladder meridian.
Woman: So when we do forward bend for instance. Ricky you want to come on over here? Have a sit on the mat, if you would.
Extend your legs out long and forward fold over the legs. So when he is in this position, literally the meridian gets stretched.
Rick: You are accessing not only the bladder in the meridian, but all the ball points along that meridian, which is affecting the large intestine and everything, but for the bladder meridian is adding in the flow, fluidity of the body and it will causes the water absorption.
Woman: So could you also say as a result of doing a meridian pair like this on - and you talk about the kidney and how it is related to fear? Would it actually make someone feel more courageous?
Rick: It could.
Woman: In life?
Rick: Absolutely.
Woman: That is great!
Rick: It depends on the amount of fear and is to how often they are participating in some kind of physical activity.
Woman: But it really is that kind of an internal examination of the body.
Rick: There is again no separation between what is going on your life, and what is going on in your body.
Woman: We forget that in life today.
Rick: Easy to.
Woman: So, Rick, we are going to have you come up if you would. And Aimee come on over here and Joey if you would, can you talk to everyone about this meridian?
Joey: Okay, first we will talk about the liver meridian. There liver meridian is, of course related to the aspects of strategic planning and control. That part of your life also anger, so if you get somebody who comes into your yoga, physically shouting. What kind of anger in their voice? You know, well I think we have better do some liver stretches.
So you incorporate the liver stretch, and again this is just a leg and it also goes through the side of the body and up into the head area, but here is, it can be very effective for helping alleviate anger and also those of you who are working in the office. Your head gets all jammed up with plans and ideas about your day doing a liver meridian stretch will just help you let go of your day.
Woman: So let us do that, I want to have Aimee to do descent to the mat, and could you do dragonfly Aimee, with the legs are apart and what she is going to do is forward fold towards the mat. So the liver which runs down the front and internally to the leg is getting stretched.
Joey: Correct.
Woman: The fashion and tissues are getting touched.
Joey: Actually ass is the gall bladder meridian which we did not talked about but it is also beyond related to decision making and decisiveness.
Woman: Right. So Aimee, you will roll up at that post, because we have done a lot of yen throughout the series and what are you going to come to is ankle to me. So you are going to end your knees infront of you, and cross one ankle over and actually cross this ankle over a little bit more. So that is completely over.
So this is the gall bladder meridian, right? And so if you are going through the hip area, this is attaching the - or the tissue that supports that meridian.
Rick: Correct.
Woman: So, we would actually help to calm your mind if you have so many decisions to be making.
Rick: You students out there please? Do the stretch all the time, it would help you.
Woman: It does, it help just to calm you down. I guess you make much better grades, after you have done yin yoga being and like us.
Rick: Absolutely.
Woman: Aimee, you can unfold, stand up. So I guess the bottom line of doing the Yin Practice, right? Is learning to become more introspective and freeing that emotional encarsotory kind of aspect of our beings and it is so vital to be able to go through the life flow of Yang and Yin. So that you would experience a balance, because if there is too much yang, there is too much heat, right? And Yin needs to be more present in our lives; I guess that is something that we could agree upon.
Rick: Through out our lives in our world as well.
Woman: Great! Well thank you so much. Thank you dancers.
