Well visiting San Diego, you have got to come to La Jolla. It is one of the most beautiful locations in Southern California. It's called La Jolla, means the jewel and you can look around and you can see why.
There are gorgeous cliffs here, the waves are pretty small and yet interesting enough, that they are beautiful. There is tide pools where you can find little crabs and sea urchins, a great place for the family, beautiful year around. Parking can be a little bit challenging in the summer time, but don't give up; there is plenty of free parking if you are willing to look for. So don't miss La Jolla.
There is also sea lions behind me that you can see very clearly. So your kids will love doing that, in fact, they live in a place called the Children's Beach, but they really should call it the seal beach, because it's the seals that hang out there.
