Hi! I am here out with a few tips on Catholic Wedding Traditions. No. 1, I would say you really should plan your wedding about a year in advance and you should also obtain copies of both of your baptismal certificates and if you need you can call your church if you had--do not have it then you can call and obtain it that way. No. 3, I would say consult with your priest and really discuss your intentions of why you are getting married. It is always a helpful thing to get some insight from the church itself. No. 4 select a site for your reception; very important thing to do early on. No. 5, you want to enroll in a Pre-Cana or marriage preparation program which is designed to help you prepare emotionally, spiritually and socially for marriage. This can be very important. No. 6, you want to add the documents that you obtain from the Pre-Cana to your records just so you have it.
And, No. 7- you want to discuss with your partner your views about having children, since the Catholic Church only recognizes marriages in which procreation is a possibility. No. 8, you want to order a wedding invitations and mass booklets and thank you notes; four to six months prior to getting married, that is a probably good idea. And No. 9, arrange a pre-marital investigation with the priest prior to the wedding. No. 10, ask the priest any questions you have about the teachings of the church and the role of marriage in the church. And No. 11, select readings for the wedding and ask family members to be involved in the reading. That is always a nice touch.
And, those are basic Catholic Wedding Traditions.
