(Music playing) Last week we talked about rouge antiviruses and antispyware that are affecting lots of people’s computers. This week, we are going to show you how to protect yourself from these viruses. The first precautionary step is to install an application like McAfee site advisor to get an idea of which links are safe, and which ones are not. We like to use web of trust in conjunction with McAfee site advisor for an added layer of protection. (Music playing) Let us say you happen to click on a bad link. A good free antivirus such as Avast can abort the download and prevent the user from unknowingly installing the malware. (Music playing) What if you get a virus from a different source? Let us say a friend’s flash drive. A good antivirus can prevent the virus from fully installing. (Music playing) We found an excellent antimalware program called malware bytes. It does an extremely good job of making sure that malware is blocked, keeping your computer protected. (Music playing) From our experience, we found that malware bytes can detect and remove certain viruses that can not be removed with other antivirus and antispyware solutions. Malware bytes is free if you want to scan and remove threats, but the full version will give you real time, always on protection for around $25.00. We recommend getting the full version for the added layer of protection. (Music playing) So I hope that was hopeful to you. Feel free to share it with any of your friends and family, and check out some of our videos. (Music playing)
