I am Kim Alexis and as a model, actress, fitness lover and mother of five, I have been pretty active all my life but at one point, it became a struggle just to get through my day. I put on weight, I had no energy, I thought maybe I just needed more rest but one day, I read that these problems could be symptoms of a disease. When I asked my doctor about them, he told me they could indicate a thyroid problem. He explained that your thyroid affects all parts of your body including your brain, heart, bone, skin, even your ability to have a baby. In my case, test showed I didn't have enough thyroid hormone to function normally. Once I was on medication, I felt 10 years younger. Now I have my thyroid check twice a year. An estimated 25 million people, most of them women suffer from an underactive thyroid but only about half of them have been tested and treated. Your thyroid is a key to good health. Get it checked.
