Video Transcription

[Music Playing] This lesson we will go over a song title “Jesus” recorded by Kirk Franklin. [Demonstration] The song starts off in your left hand with two G’s. You will add a D in the middle. Right hand, you could play one of two chords. You could a play an F chord -- F, A, C add that F on the bottom. Or keep that same F, A, play a C, a D and stretch down to the G. [Demonstration] The next couple of notes you will play G, A to C. Then you would start the main section of the song. [Demonstration] You are going from an F in your left hand to a E, to a D. [Demonstration] Your right hand chords, I will play an F chord, I add the G. [Demonstration] When I hit that E, I am hitting that inverted C chord which is that E, G, C go down to the D, and I go back to that 1st chord that I played. [Demonstration] Now, another way you could play those chords, and continue when you get to that D, you will be playing on a D, G and a C. So that gives you two ways of playing that section. The first way, [Demonstration] The second way, [Demonstration] Then next section of the song starts; [Demonstration] You are play on the same chords you play in the beginning, except you change it up the rhythm patterns. So you got two F’s, your right hand -- F, G, A, C. [Demonstration] You are going back down to the same two D’s that you played earlier. [Demonstration] You can keep that same right hand chord, or go to the second chord that we learned. [Demonstration] Coming out at that section, you would into -- [Demonstration] Two C’s with a G. Right hand, we will be on the G chord that is inverted with the D, G, B. [Demonstration] G, A -- now, you are on add Gm chord where you -- it is inverted, we will be playing that E, a G and a Bb. [Demonstration] From this, [Demonstration] You would walk to C up to the F. [Demonstration] Right hand, [Demonstration] When you hit that D, you will hit that F chord that we learned earlier. E in your left with a G chord, G, B, D. F in your left, A, C, E, Am chord. Now, you go back to the introductional mapping chords, or the introductional bouncing chord. [Demonstration] Be sure to hit the G, A to the C. Then start the song again. [Demonstration] The will end on C chord, left hand C, G, C, right hand G, C, E, G. Now I am going to play through every chord pattern that just we just learned. [Demonstration] [Music Playing]
