(Music Playing) As you can see defense has become more and more popular. In fact, I have seen, it certainly a main stream self-defense instruction, defense being referred to overtime. Unfortunately, it is very often over emphasized as at the case with most martial arts techniques. It is got to be a natural gesture, however, because of different martial artist seeing defense represented in static photographs, they stopped interpreting that as static fences. Also structurally, it resembles a many classical guards, for example, the pleading fences here, as what should be done just to calm somebody down in order to preempt the strike, structurally, looks like a tie-level guard. The staggered fence here which is used to either draw an attacker in already them for that right hand looks like a classical western boxing guard. And for good reason, they are most efficient ways to deliver effective strikes. Unfortunately, if a fence looks obvious then you are going to preempted yourself. The people are going to know about distancing and they are going to know that you are lying in the mop for a shot. This is addressed and solution given by ______ in this very next section. So, I mean, basically defense, we got two sets self-defense actually. We got the defense where what you know, with the hands are like this. Which a lot of people now recognized, they will say, do not line me up; they know they are being lined up right now. But basically, the hands are there to maintain that distance off. If you step forward, I want to maintain that distance here but what we have came up with now, it is because many people now recognized that fence, and we have the invisible fence. So, the invisible defense would be an advanced technique if you like where we do not put the hands here but again its range dependent. I would want that range a little bit more open if you like. My hands would be down here because my game plan would be based on deception. I do not want you to know that I know all these, okay. And as far as an action trigger is concerned, when I have got this fence here, if you touched my fence, I am going to hit you that is an action trigger, alright. If you said to me anything threatening, either you will going to take me out or whatever, again, that would be an action trigger—I would hit you and those are the fight. If I saw your hands moving or threatening gesture or anything, again, that would be action trigger and I would hit you, okay, that would be my cue to strike. On the invisible fence, what I would do, we used that in conjunction with what we call an invisible line here. Now, you done that and say it is not a drawn line, it is just that, but I am going to have my hands like this. I am looking vulnerable; I am inviting you like a Venus fly-trap if you like. So that when you stepped in, okay, my hands are down here, I am striking outside your preferred vision and it works well with _____. So, is that my actions trigger on that point would be you stepping over that line and me striking. So that would be the two types of fence. I prefer now the invisible fence because people do recognized it.
