Inside Geek Canada is powered by TubeMogul for more information visit TubeMogul.com Hello, everyone and thank you for tuning in the Inside Geek Canada. My name is Even Thies and today is our iPhone feature and we are going to be taking a look an application called midomi. A midomi, basically is what they call the ultimate music search and it really is. It allows you to you will sing to your iPhone, you will check music, you will radio station, find out what they are doing the search and it is a great application. So I am just kind of double and take you through it here. So let us take a look here. All right, so let us turn on the phone here and let us unlock it and there you can see midomi so let us go ahead and lunch that. There you go, it is the ultimate music search and it really is so let us go through all the tabs here. You have the Sing tab which allows you to sing to the iPhone and it can pick up base on your singing and your humming and tell you the name of the song. The Say tab where you can basically just save the name of the song or the artist net will tell you and you can listen to it. The Grab, and grab it is probably my favorite feature because if you like to music store or just a department store that plays music or you just use some on the radio you can hold up to this speaker and then it will tell you who the artist is and what the song is. Of course, like any good music search they—just type where you can type the name of the song or the artist. Let us go back to the Sing tab here and I will just show—I am not a very good singer so I am just going to do happy birthday but let us look at here. [Demo] So it does not know that is my birthday so I can sing that to myself. Now see the results, now there is a whole bunch of variance of happy birthday. Now it is going to be too hard for you to hear but I guarantee you these are bunch of different versions of happy birthday that you can listen to. Now let us just go to say one. Let us click here and Summer of 69 and there you go. Bryan Adams, Summer 69 comes right up and you can go ahead and play that. [Demo] Now this is another interesting feature here, there is a couple links that it gives you so you get the artist and the name of the song and usually the album as well and then you can share the song link. So you can share link to the song if you want to email that you can go to YouTube video of it or you can buy it straight on iTunes which really great. Now if you click here, you can get more information on the album as well as just check out on some of the other songs and by the album. So if I go back here, so just click on new search would be easier. Next thing is Grab, so just go ahead and click on it and let us play a song here. [Demo] Let you push stop, then let us see what it finds and there you go Speed of Sound by Coldplay. [Demo] You can get and then you can go and get additional information YouTube link you would like and now let us try to type feature and then I just type here. I can just click on the box and type. Type “Killers” and there you go, the “Killers” come out. You can see there Discography, Top Songs. Let us take a look at Tops Songs, and the way you go. [Demo] You can stop in. Once again, you can find the more information get the YouTube by from iTunes and there you go that is basically the basics of the midomi and how useful it can really be to find music. You know wherever you maybe so hopefully now you have a better idea of what midomi are for the iPhone and why you might want to use it. It is a very cool application, you can make like fun at times in just, you know, being now and experimenting and seeing what kind of songs you can find. If you have any other application recommendations that I should demo on the iPhone feature. You can send me an email at Evan@InsideGeek.ca and I can also take your general tech question their as well. Thanks for watching and we will see you online.
