[Music Playing] I started my prototype urban sustainable leaving garden here in 2003. The garden takes it design inspiration from the medieval monastic gardens of Europe and North Africa with some good old fashion cottage garden and thrown in for a good measure. The organic gardening system I use is bio-intensive Parma culture stocking design. Everything is built modularly so the animal cages, trellises and hoop house all fit standard in each ways bed. Here I can grow tons of garden vegetables for my family and friends with plenty leftover to sell to the neighbors. The buildings you se here were put up as garages in 1917th. The length renovation of the center building now houses my offices and after that was complete I was able to start my garden. I thought this would be the perfect demonstration farm as if it is the same size as the average urban backyard at 20 feet by 60 feet. The garden has 12, 4 by 8 raise beds and 3, 4 by 4 raise beds. I believe that all garden needs seeding areas design in to that that way the garden truly becomes an inviting outdoor experience. In the winter, the garden beds act as compose beds I always think of Johnny Mitchell song parking lot when I looked at it know from cars to offices and garden that is my humble bit of urban renewal.
