Hey guys this is Chris from Tutnation.com. And this is my first tutorial on 5min.com but if you are searching this one on Youtube, also see check out my channel. So today I am going to be showing you Photoshop Effect, let me just sweep over to my screen here. What we are going to be making is something like this, it looks like this, it does not really matter then, you can change the color. So on first of what we are going to do is create a new document. You can choose whatever size you want, but I am go 640X480 for this tutorial. First of all we are going set the colors to black and white , now you can click that to do that, hold Ctrl D if you are on windows and then we are going to render some clouts. After we have done that, we are going to go Filter and we are going to pixilate, use mosaic. Now you do not really want this to be cutting off the edges. So choose a sized pixel, say, I thin 20 is right for you, 20, go 20. If you are going 640X480 so that, you know everything is uniformed with the document. Hit Okay. And after you have done that, go Filter, brush tricks, scented edges, now this will pop up and I have got this set all ready to 350 and 5 and you should get something like this. So set the edge width to 3, edge brightness to 50 and smoothness to 5 and you get something like this. Hit Okay, CTRL J to duplicate otherwise just drag it down there and we are going turn that later off and we are going to edit this one so that we can always go back to the other one. You could go in your adjustment layer and then Color Balance and you can do that if you want to say change the certain parts of certain different colors, like that. You could do it like that or you could just go or rather CTRL U if no question with the short cut keys on the Mac it is probably commando option U. Fit them or we could just go into your adjustments panel and go hue and saturation. What we are going to do is click Colorize and you get something like this. Put the saturation up to full and bring down the lightness down slightly. Slightly move it down. Let us go to best model 64 and you will get something like this. if you do not like red just change the color, say green or blue. Blue looks good, we will go with blue this time. And then what we are going to is duplicate this layer, I should have named mine but they will, go CTRL T to transform and we are going to bring this up to 200X300 in percent and then go lighting and you will get this cool effect here. So if you have a—where you are making out animations say in after effects you could have both the layers moving and it would just create a cool effect. Just an idea, you do not have to have that on. I prefer it off, I just like this simple design like this. Anyway, that is how to do it. So if you enjoyed my first tutorial and check out my channel on 5min.com or Youtube.com. My username is t-u-t nation or tutnation as you can see it is spelled up there. And yes, I guess that is better. And also check out tutnation.com for other tutorials submitted by other users. But anyway that is better and I will see next time.
