Proper foot positioning in Latin dancing is very important. What we want to achieve is an open-relaxed position. So, the proper foot positioning in Latin dance is just slightly open with our hills closed together. What we do not want to do is have a parallel position or even an inverted position. This is a big no, no. We always just want to relax our feet and keep a small little space, make them look like a “V”. The dances that we talk about for this positioning in Latin dance are Salsa, Cha-Cha, Meringue, Rumba and Mambo.
