Hi! I’m David Lupberger with servicemagic.com. Often times, people have a favorite lamp and for some reason it stops working. It could be the switch doesn’t work. I want to show you before you throw that away how to replace that switch and to save that favorite lamp. In this case, I discovered the base of this switch, unscrews and it exposes the switch mechanism. You can go to any good hardware store and replace that mechanism and you’ll see wiring is here and here and by working with of these replacements, you can actually replace that switch, put that lamp back together and you’ve saved your favorite lamp. Sometimes, it just takes a replacement switch to save your favorite light but make sure you unplug it before you do this work.
