This review of Rain of Swords if brought to you by AppVee.com. Rain of Swords is the most addicting game on the iPhone to date. It is a real time strategy game that will put you in control of an entire army in the same sense like the Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced and the entire series. Basically, it is an online game but you are building your own profile. You create a first name and select a house name and then you can act and upload your stats, as you beat each area sometimes it will be rivals that are other players, sometimes it will be rivals that are computer players and you are going head to head to find out who has the best score and the best strategy. The game can be kind of slow especially when you are playing with a large army battle, so be patient in that regard but if you like real time strategy type games, you will really enjoy this one. When we start off a specific match, you have to set all of your troops, you have a specific amount of points that you can use to put specific troops down. It does not get too much more complicated than that, each troop can move a specific distance and you can easily attack by hitting on any of the red squares. The different point values depend on which direction you are attacking and which troop you are using to attack with and there is a pretty good story line to the game as well. Like I said, multiplayer is not real time, you are not playing with friends head to head and it kind of gives it an MMO feel to it the way it is doing it where you are building up a profile online but it is not as direct as say other online games are at this point. If you like real time strategy games, if you like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or any of those games definitely check out Rain of Swords.
