The Importance of Having Others in Our Lives Female: No man or woman is an Island. Coach Bob Wright tells us how important it is to have others in out lives. We grow through our relationships for better or worst. Wright: One of the most important lessons for couples to learn to help them stay together is to understand that you are there to learn and grow not to be with somebody who is perfect and is going to make you happy. The purpose of couple hood is to enrich your life and part of that richness is the challenge of someone who does things you do not like, a challenge of someone who embarrasses you so you can have to stand up for your self. And other people in our lives are presenting us with both a room in which we can develop in a cursive line in which we can burn away parts of us that are not as positive and not as loving and conscious as we can be. You can better take advantage of the benefit of having someone who cares about you and support you, believes in you, and stands by you when you face all of the challenges that we all have to face in everyday life.
