Alright, here is our piece of music and let us write a bunch of 16th notes. Here is and I counted is that I really do live by the concept of like keep it simple, stupid. So here is our quarter notes – down quarter notes well here is eight notes you will count that one, and two, and quarter if you count them one, two, three, four. For now like these eight notes, you are now counting it like this. One and two and, but now about what if I were to have 16th notes. Well the way that you will count them would be like I made these 16th note and these 6 notes, you will count them 1e+u, 2e+u. And, I am going to play this all down in a minute, but let me go ahead and continue explaining this.
So now what about I will make these 32nd notes. The way you will count them or at least the way that I would count them would be the same, 1e+u, 2e+u, but now if I would take my metronome, and go quarter notes. It will be one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four if were to count that at eight notes it will be one, and two and three and four and one, and two and three and four end. If I were to make them 16th notes it will be 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u.
Now I count 32nd notes and this is just the way that I do it and is that I were to count them as 16th notes, or if I were to count them as 32nd notes, I would still count the 16th note but I count them twice as fast. So for 16th note I go 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u. for 32nd note I go, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u. So that is how I do it, because what are you doing is that you are counting it twice as fast, and that when you first start counting it, you are not going to not be able to sing it as fast, but you got it really go 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 3e+u, 4e+u, so you are literally playing 16th notes like here is how it works out, is that this is actually your 8th note, here is your 8th note right here. So here is 1 +, all I am doing is that here is my up beat, and on the – doing I will beat I am doing 1e+a and then on the up beat, I am hitting it 1e+a again, so I am going 1e+a. So here is your beat, let me do it really slow, divide it and then I will go back and explain these beats a little bit better.
So here is the beat, so one, and two, and three, and four, and one, and two, and three, and four, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, those are 32nd notes. If I were to do that 16th notes, I would still remain the same but now I am hitting two beats between every eight notes. So I do now have 1e+u but the hits still remain the same. So now we have 1e+u, 1e+u, 1e+u, 1e+u, 1e+u, 1e+u. so one, and two, and 1e+u, 1e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u, 1e+u, 2e+u. So that is we are going up from 8th notes to 16th notes to 32nd notes.
Now let me explain how this works out literally and I hope that answers your question. This is your quarter note. Here is your quartet note, quarter note gets one beat, so let us put another beat here, here is beat one, here is beat two. The way it works is if I were to make this to 8th note I now have one, and two. Let us make this 16th notes, I now have 1e+u 2, so before what we have is one, two, then we have one and two, now we have 1e+u2, and so if I were to stretch that even further and if I will make them 16th notes, you will put one note in the middle of everything and make them 32nd notes and there is your 32nd notes but before I put the line but if have two lines here, there is our 16th note. Let us make these 32 notes and so now I have 1e+u, 2e+u or whatever you want to do but just do not confuse these two. These two is really the end the up beat of the actual beat.
