Now, here is a great saw that you might want to have in your tool collection. It is a table saw. What do I like about table saws, they are multi purposed tools. The are powerful and they all like to do all kinds of different things. For example, a table saw allows you to take a regular piece of lumber and make a very long accurate cut, as if you are cutting it into long separate little pieces. With the special guide called the cross cut guide, you can actually cut across a piece of lumber much like you would with a circular saw. You can even make angle cuts if you wish too. But you have to keep in mind a couple of things. Table saws are highly dangerous and you need to watch out for certain things when you use them. For example, number one, do not wear any loose fitting clothing when you are working with the saw. For example, a long sleeve shirt that is unbuttoned, the shirt can get grabbed into the saw and it can pull your arm into the blade in a matter of seconds. Also, make sure you unplug the saw anytime you make any adjustments on the tool. Finally, if you are making narrow cuts, do not get your fingers near the blade, make sure that you use a small piece of wood that is cut with a little notch in it that allows you to push the lumber right through the blade, that way, you will make sure that you are not going to get hurt. There is two other important safety tips I want to tell you about. Make sure you wear eye protection or goggles, really important. And also, ear plugs. Table saws can be very very loud and it will hurt your hearing. Keep those in mind when you use your table saw. If you want to discover more home improvement tips, go to AsktheBuilder.com.
