Hi, Matt Krzycki here again with GoodSide studio. Welcome to Web Video 202. This is the continuation of video production 101 where we learned about producing a video. In this session, we are going to talk about how to get that video online. Now, I am not here to teach you the technical skills that you need to put the video up yourself rather how you hire a production company that's going to create a professional Web Video presents for you. The purpose of this video is to teach you what's possible, how to ask for it, and how to make sure that you are getting it when you hire that company that's going to put your video online for you. We are going to look at Web Video as a marketing tool, why it's effective, and some simple things that you can do to convert viewers into customers. A couple of fact as I have led to video becoming mainstream on the web. First, close to 80% of active internet users now have access to broadband connection. Second, the quality of the video has just gotten better. It's a bigger picture, it plays better and it just looks better. Let's look at what the broadcast networks are doing. They are putting their programming online, and then look at YouTube. Google bought YouTube for $1.65 billion before they even had a revenue plan for it. There's marketing savvy organizations, see the growing importance of Web Video as a marketing tool. Let's take it all when I'll just talk about video and the brain. And it's not just video, it's the combination of moving pictures, spoken words, music, and text. Research shows that in a learning environment, and also remember only about 10% of what they read, 20% of what they hear, and 30% of what they see, but 50% of what they see and hear. And that reading comprehension number would be even lower for large blocks of text on the website, because most people hate reading off on computer screen. However, when you add short bullet points to your video, it dramatically increases your viewers' comprehension. I mention the music, and not because it helps people to remember, but because it's a powerful emotional motivator. You can drown people in facts, but for the most parts, emotion is a big part of every important decision they make. At GoodSide Studio, we focus on Vericast Web Video. It's a marketing strategy that's effective for a couple of reasons. First, the video is full of relevant content that's genuinely valuable to your target market. Now this usually means it teaches them concepts related to what you do. By watching your video, the potential customer becomes an informed consumer more comfortable with the idea of going forward to do business with you, and you give him the opportunity to invite them to make that next step, which brings me to the next key component of Vericast Web Videos. They put your video in context with your call to action. How often have you seen this? You are on a website and you click to see their video, and you are taken to a black page with no navigation, no Back button and when the video is done, what are you going to do? That's right, close all your browser and, go on to do something else. Here is what it looks like when you put your video in context with your call to action. You are my target market, my desired outcome is that you'll contact me about producing video for you and look, there is my call to action to contact us. And when the video ends, I am not going to leave a big black hole in the middle of your website. I am going to use that valuable space to restate your call to action, or even for a secondary call to action, like watch another video. If you are not ready to contact me at the end of this video, I hope the next one will show you what you need to go forward with contacting. Sometimes what seems like a small difference is actually a really big difference. For example, Yale University conducted a study. Well, one group of students was given an informative pamphlet on the merits of getting a tetanus shot, only 3% of that first group actually went to get their shot. The second group got the same pamphlet with one small change and the inoculation rate shot up to 28%, and what was the change, on the back of the pamphlet, they included a map to a campus infirmary and the hours that shots were given. The students knew where the infirmary was. They didn't need the map for directions. They needed it to turn abstract information into permission to act are call to action. When it's time to get your videos online, everyone does this a little differently. So let me just tell you what we do at GoodSide studio. If you already have a website, we'll work with you to integrate your video into it, or we'll just take care of it for you. If you don't have a website, we can build one. All you need to do is tell us what you need. And again, there is no technical learning curve for you. And by the way, we can provide you a statistics on how many times a day your video gets watched, how visitors found it, and even what country they are in. To sum up what we have covered in the last few minutes, Web Video is no longer a beyond the cutting edge technology, it's mainstream, and becoming a basic expectation for any informative site. It's easy for you and it's easy for your visitors. Vericast Web Video is particularly powerful because it puts relevant content that's genuinely valuable to your target market right in context with your call to action. And best of all, there is no technical mumbo-jumbo fee to learn about. You'd be good at what you do, and we'll help you show you a good site.
