What to Consider Before Making Major Changes Female: Dreaming of a new career? Why not install a little creativity and reflection into your current career? Coach Bob Wright suggests some questions to ask your self before heading to greener pastures. Bob: If you are on the brink of making a job change, look before you leave. What I am talking about is looking at who you are and what it is you might be avoiding or running away from in leaving the job you are in now. [Music Playing] What are the lessons you have learned in the job you are in? And are there any lessons you are avoiding learning? Are you avoiding learning to work with powerful executives? Are you avoiding teamwork? The most important thing to do in switching jobs is to remember that the same element in the next job is going to be you. And you are going to bring the skills you have and you are going to bring the deficits that you have. So you might as well doing inventory and know exactly what you are doing and why are you doing.
